To fully protect bidder privacy in advance of upcoming special consignment auctions for institutions and estates, we're now publicly removing bidder names to follow the standards of most large auction houses including eBay. By default, your account will now show up as an anonymous bidder name to others, but if you would like your bidder name to remain public, please visit your profile to select "No" on private bidding.
Current Auctions

This week we are offering a completely random mix of species, locations, and historic oddities, spanning acquisitions we made between the early 2000s and now. We're offering first sight of many new specimens from the lifelong collections of: Dr. Bob Reynolds, long the curator at the San Bernardino County Museum; and Chet Lemanski (Lemanskiite and MINDAT fame). So many items in these collections we simply never see on the market today – and yet here they are, up for auction! These are NOT show leftovers, but are being released FIRST to the internet. We have added a selection of tourmaline, malachite and quartz, as well.
Highlights:
1. Superb large Russian VIVIANITE from the Vladimir Pelepenko Collection.
2. TOURMALINES including a large gem Pederneira INDICOLITE
3. Classic old Tri-State Distric GALENA, DOLOMITE & CHALCOPYRITE
4. MALACHITE specimens and QUARTZ specimens, including rare SMOKY QUARTZ with TOURMALINE from the Pederneira Mine.
5. Old, circa 1940s, FLUORITE from Clay Center with a large crystal

We have a great selection this week, featuring plenty of attractive, fine quality, classic, contemporary, rare and unusual specimens. Look for new discoveries that we picked up at shows or direct from the source. We also have plenty of pieces from various collections that we've purchased over the last year or so including David Burgess, Bob Reynolds, Chet Lemanski, Rich Kosnar and more ! You might even find the occasional fossil, lapidary or gem item from time to time. Look here for the not so typical mineral specimens along with plenty of your favorites. We don't just offer the "standard 20 species", but an eclectic mix of specimens that appeal to everybody!
Some of the highlights from this week’s auction include:

1. Rare "butterfly"-twinned PHOSPHOPHYLLITE on matrix from Bolivia
2. Amber with MULTIPLE INSECT INCLUSIONS from Dominican Republic
3. Excellent classic COPPER ROSE pseudomorph after AZURITE from New Mexico
4. Wonderful gemmy old-time classic AQUAMARINE from Brazil (ex Rich Kosnar Collection)
5. Beautiful GYPSUM (SELENITE) with "hourglass" sand inclusions from Oklahoma
6. HUGE "dogtooth"-shaped CALCITE crystal from Ametista do Sul (São Gabriel), Brazil
7. Fantastic SCEPTER and REVERSE SCEPTER QUARTZ crystals on Calcite from Mexico
8. Wonderful bi-colored thumbnail of CELESTINE from Indiana
9. NEPTUNITE with RARE DIGNIET association (ex Bob Reynolds Collection)
10. Rarities include: SUGILITE, CRYOLITE and THENARDITE

Continuing with our series of gem auctions, we are offering a selection of fine quality gemstones that we acquired from the inventory of a respected wholesaler with decades of experience in the gem business.
You will find a wonderful mix of well-known, rare, unique and collector quality gems with reserve bids at $10.  Pay close attention to the quality in these auctions, as all of the stones are well-cut (many have unique custom cuts) and are not your typical "jewelry store" material.   There are many gems in these auctions that one rarely sees on the market, and even the more common material is better than what you'll find in a lot of other venues.

We are honored to host the first deaccession auction of long-held duplicates and treasures from the Rice Northwest Museum of Rocks & Minerals, recently selected from their extensive collection built in the late 1900s by founders Richard and Helen Rice. Most of these items have never been seen outside of the museum and even then, some of them have simply been warehoused and not on display, for decades. We hope you enjoy this fine and diverse selection.
This is the first set of items set to close on Saturday, April 17.
We would like to thank the additional donors who contributed items to assist with fundraising for the museum. Most items listed are from the museum's collection, though several items from external donors are acknowledged in individual item descriptions.
